Aaron Fitchett 1819-1900. Son of James Fitchett (1766-1859), [U.E.] Loyalist, and Elizabeth Young (1780-1854) He received his grant of land in Fredericksburgh township in 1840. In 1842 he married 16 year old Lavanche Fox (1826-1920) from Courtland, N.Y. Lavanche was visiting her brother when she met Aaron who lived on the next farm. Both are buried in the Fitchett Cemetery (now abandonned), concession 6 lot 7, Huntington Township, Hastings county. [Ontario]

Robert Wilson 1870-1951 the 16th child, weighing in at 16 lbs.. He married Frances Mitts in 1891. They homesteaded at Rama, Saskatchewan, where Wilson became the district auctioneer.

Frances A. Mitts (Frankie) 1871-1951 married R. Wilson Fitchett in 1891 in Beulah Church, Hastings county. In 1907 they went west to settle finally in a small hamlet of Rama, Saskatchewan. Wilson was 6 ft. 3 in. tall and weighed 302 lbs., Frankie was about 5 ft. tall and about a 115 lbs.. He adhered to the United Church while she was a Seventh-Day Adventist. [Vi says this family had church on both Saturday and Sunday.]
Harold was called Hal by his mother, and Harry by Sue and most of his friends,
but to the family he was always Harold. He died of stomach cancer at home,
nursed by Sue, who took special training to provide the nursing care he needed.
He was only about 38 years old. His body was cremated, and a memorial service
at the Winfield community centre on November 18th was filled to capacity.
